You wonder where all that garbage comes from in the East Don.. Well, we found some answers. Scouting our next clean up location, we walked along the periphery of the ravines, which edges to an industrial area in Bermondsey, on Bartley Drive. We are shocked to see the mess created by these companies in their back parking/storage lot. The site is literally being treated like a dump. The companies directly border the Charles Sauriol Conservation Area, where deer, mink, beaver, fox, coyotes and tons of birds live. How is this allowed to happen? We will reach out to TJ Trade Inc. and Three Stars Cash & Carry to ask them to clean up this mess (and maybe give us a hand in our next clean up?). We will reach out to local councillor Councillor Denzil Minnan-Wong as well. More enforcement of proper garbage disposal of park edging industries is badly needed.
