The LRT has been making changes to bus routes in Toronto and sometimes if feels like they are canceling routes without notification! A local Don Mills resident had this to say:

“The loss of Lawrence bus 54 between Don Mills & Leslie. It is amazing to me that having put up with the construction for all these years, my regular TTC trip will be longer and more complicated than before. I used to walk a relatively short distance to a friendly bus stop (Donway W and Lawrence), wait for a bus with a small group of people, hop on a bus, get off at a stop just short of Yonge St and walk up to my destination. Now I will have to walk twice as far to a bus stop that is already overcrowded and dangerous when a bunch of school kids are jostling about, ride down to Eglinton, change to the LRT, ride it all the way to Yonge, negotiate the station, then walk up Yonge. I suspect it will add time to my journey.

This is an important survey. One implication of the new Eglinton LRT is that we lose the section of Lawrence 54 between Don Mills and Leslie. That means a much longer walk to a bus stop for many, and probably longer trip times to Yonge/Eglinton. survey.forumresearch.com/SE/1/TCL5/.”

I hope you can spare a moment to fill out the online survey if you are a TTC rider so that we can hopefully bring back the routes that matter to our local residents!

Thank you!
